Apple TV is now the new star leaving Netflix behind in a world of streaming. According to recent data from Parrot Analytics people prefer Apple’s original TV shows. Why Viewers Declared Apple TV+ as Top Streaming Service as Compared to Netflix?
One of the main reasons that people are taking an interest in TV shows that you can only find on Apple TV Plus. From January to August 2023, almost 51% of Apple’s original series in the United States were rated as “good or above” by the viewers.
On the other hand, even though Netflix is super popular, less than 20% of their original content got the “good or better” rating in the US. That means Apple TV Plus is taking the race over Netflix.
When we look at the whole world, Apple TV Plus is still a winner. Almost 47% of the shows are considered “good”, “outstanding”, or “exceptional”. That’s way more than its closest competitor, Paramount Plus, which has a rating of only 32.7%.
But one thing should be kept in mind: the data from Parrot Analytics does not reveal actual viewership numbers or streaming minutes, which makes it challenging to determine whether Apple’s highly demanded shows were actually watched or merely searched for.
