How to Make Someone Mod on Discord?

Moderators are chosen by the administrators. Moderators are the trusty participants of any Discord Server. They have the authority to moderate or delete messages, they can invite, ban and suspend people who disobey the server’s rules.

To make any Discord member a Moderator follow the below steps:

Step 1: Launch Discord

Open the “Discord” application on your PC.

Step 2: Select Server

For making a participant of the server “Moderator”. First, we will create a Moderator position on the server. For this, right-click on the server for which you want to assign a “Moderator”.

Step 3: Server’s Settings

As soon as you have right-clicked on the server a menu will pop up from there select “Server Settings” and then select “Roles”.

Step 4: Create a Role

Now, click on the “Create Role” button on which type “Moderator” and press “Enter”.

Step 5: Change the Color

Here, you can choose the color. We have selected blue color for our “UnixHint Server”:

Here, Tap on the “Save changes” button:

Step 7: Select Member

In the User Management category select “Members” and then click on the “+” icon in front of the member to whom you want to create the Moderator. Here we will make the “Zoha ” moderator of our Unixhint server.

Step 8: Select Moderator

After you have clicked on the “+” there are several options for roles and select “Moderator”.

Step 9: Moderator Created

Congratulations! you have successfully created a member of yours as a Moderator. Here “Zoha ” is the new Moderator of our Unixhint Server.
